This Senior Network Engineer will take end-to-end ownership of the firm’s network infrastructure, ensuring stability, scalability, and security across all environments. The role combines hands-on technical work with design, planning, and vendor coordination in a fast-paced, high-expectations environment.
Key Responsibilities- Design, plan, and optimize network architectures across LAN, WAN, and wireless environments
- Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
- Monitor network performance, analyze traffic, and lead root-cause resolution of outages
- Implement and maintain network security controls to protect against cyber threats and unauthorized access
- Forecast capacity needs and plan upgrades to improve speed, resilience, and scalability
- Partner with vendors on escalations, support contracts, and technical issue resolution
- Maintain clear documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and troubleshooting guides
- Support infrastructure projects and other duties as needed in a dynamic environment
- 5+ years of hands-on network infrastructure experience (LAN, WAN, and wireless)
- Strong fundamentals in TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, BGP, OSPF, and network security
- Proven experience diagnosing and resolving complex, multi-layer network issues
- Hands-on experience with multi-vendor network hardware
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Computer Science, IT, or related), or equivalent professional experience
Strong Plus Factors
- Experience in an AmLaw 200 or larger law firm
- Relevant networking certifications
- Involvement with ILTA or similar professional organizations
