Our flexible work benefit, Scribd Flex, allows employees – in partnership with their manager – to choose the daily work‑style that best suits their individual needs, while encouraging intentional in‑person moments. Occasional in‑person attendance is required for all Scribd Inc. employees, regardless of location.

We look for team members who show GRIT – the ability to set and achieve Goals, Results, Innovative ideas, and a positive Team attitude.

About The Team

The Data & Analytics team ensures Scribd understands business performance and trends, and helps teams make better decisions with data.

The Payments & Identity team focuses on the systems that secure monetization and protect our products: authentication, subscription, payment processing, fraud prevention, and compliance.

About

The Role

As Senior Analytics Manager, Payments & Identity, you will lead analytics for our subscription business, spanning the full monetization and identity lifecycle. You will define measurement, build analytics foundations, and drive data‑backed decisions with product, engineering, finance, and executive stakeholders.

About You

You have 7+ years of experience in analytics and deep, hands‑on domain expertise in payments and identity. This domain expertise is a must‑have, non‑negotiable requirement. You understand end‑to‑end payment provider and identity system workflows, recognize data inaccuracies, and can design metrics that reflect reality.

You care about accuracy, observability, and data quality as much as dashboards, and are comfortable deep in schemas, event flows, and SQL while also framing tradeoffs for senior audiences.

You Will
  • Lead end‑to‑end analytics for the payments lifecycle, tying metrics to subscriber, revenue, and unit economics outcomes.
  • Develop and own the core Payments KPI framework and use it to guide strategy and vendor decisions.
  • Lead analytics for identity flows, building the initial foundation and metrics framework for the Identity squad.
  • Build and maintain reliable dashboards and reporting across Payments & Identity health.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Operations on strategy, configuration changes, fraud controls, billing changes, and key initiatives.
  • Drive instrumentation, observability, and data quality for Payments & Identity.
  • Collaborate with Data Platform and Data Engineering on data models that support fast experimentation and reporting.
  • Manage and mentor analysts, providing coaching and best‑practice guidance.
You Have
  • 7+ years of analytics experience, ideally in a subscription or consumer environment with high‑impact leadership.
  • Deep, hands‑on expertise in payments and identity.
  • Experience leading or managing analysts.
  • Advanced SQL and proficiency in a programming language (Python or R).
  • Proficiency with modern data warehouses and observability tools (Databricks, Datadog).
  • Experience with BI tools such as Looker for performant, self‑serve dashboards.
  • Experience with payments and subscription analytics, lifecycle or cohort analysis.
  • Experience with experimentation and event instrumentation for billing/payments/identity flows.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Why This Role, Why Now?

Payments, billing, and identity are the backbone of Scribd’s business. We’re investing heavily to build a resilient, optimized, and globally extensible platform. You’ll have executive support to build and lead a top‑tier analytics function and deliver measurable outcomes that impact revenue, customer experience, account security, and global expansion.
