Field Service Dispatch Technician – Boston (BOS) Airport
Field Services Dispatch Technician (Part‑time 0‑20 hours)
Provide and maintain continuity of service for all components of the airport passenger processing system and resolve technical issues, including complex problems requiring specialist knowledge.
- Carry out regular routine and preventive maintenance on passenger processing equipment within the airport.
- Respond to all customer incidents and service requests from the Global Service Desk and resolve user faults within agreed SLAs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve all airline host and connectivity issues.
- Maintain high‑level communication with colleagues and senior staff, providing timely updates to the Global Service Desk so progress on each incident is tracked.
- Provide on‑site training and coaching to airport technicians to increase their incident resolution skills.
- Identify any required spares and advise the Global Service Desk to ensure incidents can be updated.
- Carry out regular floor‑walking and proactive line‑of‑sight checks to spot and resolve issues before they are reported as incidents.
- 1–2 years of experience supporting Microsoft Desktop software onsite or remotely.
- 1–2 years using ticketing systems.
- 1–2 years of knowledge of network protocols, server hardware and configurations.
- Previous airport technical support preferred.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to lift or push 20–50 pounds of equipment when required.
- Able to stand or kneel for extended periods.
- Able to use mechanical tools.
- Parking at location.
