Principal SaaS Operations Engineer – RSA

Principal Responsibilities
  • Design and automate procedures, deployment, controls, and security in collaboration with Engineering.
  • Implement and maintain automation frameworks that improve reliability, consistency, and repeatability across SaaS and FedRAMP environments (e.g., build/deploy pipelines, compliance checks, monitoring automation).
  • Integrate technologies, processes, tools, and methodologies to mature SaaS Operations services.
  • Collaborate with Cloud Engineering and Finance to monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization, implement cost‑saving measures, and support Fin Ops practices.
  • Develop and implement proactive monitoring, scripts for ad‑hoc monitoring, technical reports, and analytical tools for advanced proactive monitoring capabilities.
  • Document and execute standard operating procedures.
  • Create and protect production secret keys and restrict access to sensitive customer data.
  • Provide application support for multiple mission‑critical applications in SaaS and cloud environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application, instance, or system issues and produce root‑cause analysis write‑ups.
  • Participate in SaaS Operations technical activities related to supporting, deploying, auditing, and adopting new products and services.
  • Advocate best‑practice solutions for implementation in production from a SaaS Operations perspective.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects involving multiple stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
  • Communicate deployment and production‑related activities internally and externally when appropriate (especially during disaster recovery).
  • Participate in on‑call rotations to provide coverage during off‑business hours.
  • Coordinate closely on various activities with internal teams and external service providers.
Education & Experience
  • Minimum 10 years of enterprise application support in a hosted and/or cloud environment.
  • Minimum 10 years of Unix/Linux hands‑on experience.
  • Comfort with Dev Ops and automation tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, AWS Lambda, etc.).
  • Minimum 8 years of experience managing and supporting cloud solutions (Azure/AWS preferred).
  • Experience deploying and configuring host‑based and cloud‑based monitoring tools (Zabbix, Dynatrace, AWS Cloud Watch, Azure Monitor).
  • Experience operating across multiple cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Programming and scripting experience in one or more languages (Python, Bash, Power Shell).
  • Linux and Windows system administration (SUSE, CentOS, RHEL, Windows Server).
  • Knowledge of deploying common services such as DNS, DHCP, NFS, SMTP, SSH.
  • Experience designing and supporting networking configurations (routing, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, proxies).
  • Understanding of virtualization technologies.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

  • Experience with SQL, No
