Position Overview: The YMCA of Greater Boston is seeking a Temporary Talent Acquisition Administrator to support our hiring efforts for the upcoming summer camp season. Each year, between March and June, we hire close to 1000 camp staff and counselors for our Day Camp and Overnight Camp programs which run from June through August. In this role, you will work closely with the Talent Acquisition Specialist for Child Development to ensure a smooth and efficient hiring process.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and send offer letters to prospective camp employees.
Process CORIs (Criminal Offender Record Information) for current staff and all prospective hires. Follow up with candidates to collect required documentation for background checks. Verify that all background checks (CORI/SORI) are cleared prior to HR orientations.
Conduct reference checks for prospective camp employees using our referencing platform.
Track and review orientation sign-ups for all new hires. Communicate with candidates to ensure they bring required documentation (e.g., I-9 materials) to orientation. Follow up with employees who have not signed up for orientation to confirm their attendance.
Finalize all camp hires in ADP prior to HR orientation. Submit the names of rehire candidates to HRIS for processing.
Assist with organizing and coordinating pre-camp HR orientation meetings. Attend HR orientations to provide logistical and administrative support.
- Understanding of the full recruitment cycle (job postings, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and onboarding).
- Strong attention to detail for managing job postings, offer letters, and compliance documentation.
- Ability to handle multiple open roles simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Professional verbal and written communication to engage candidates and hiring managers.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Strong customer service orientation when assisting applicants and hiring managers.
- Familiarity with HR Systems such as Pinpoint (ATS) and ADP (HRIS) preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and scheduling tools.
