Where you’ll fit within the team
As our Regional Compensation Lead for the Americas, you’ll take the helm of Bain’s compensation strategy across North and South America. You’ll join Bain’s Global Compensation Center of Excellence (CoE), ensuring our compensation practices reflect our values, support our people, and fuel our business strategy. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on shaping and scaling Bain’s compensation frameworks across diverse local markets—all while fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.
What you’ll do
• Act as the primary compensation strategist for the Americas, translating Bain’s global philosophy into locally relevant and compliant programs.
• Guide internal stakeholders on market competitiveness, internal equity, and evolving local pay regulations across the U.S., Mexico, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and Peru.
• Lead annual compensation cycles, including budgeting, governance, system readiness, training, and change management.
• Build and manage compensation structures using market benchmarking data, partnering closely with HR, Finance, and Legal.
• Design and deliver clear compensation communications, training, and decision frameworks for HR and business leaders.
• Partner with the Recruiting team to align offer practices and ensure consistency across the region.
• Manage and mentor compensation team members within the Americas.
• Continuously monitor market trends and adapt programs to keep Bain competitive in the talent landscape.
About you
• A Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Economics, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
• 8+ years of progressive experience in compensation program management; professional services experience a plus
• Hands‑on experience with compensation design and governance across multiple countries in North and South America
• Deep expertise in base, variable, and deferred compensation practices
• Strong analytical capabilities, stakeholder management skills, and comfort advising senior leadership
• Familiarity with Workday or other enterprise HRIS systems
• A collaborative, proactive, and solutions‑oriented mindset
Compensation Information
Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service, and Bain’s best-in-class benefits package.
Salary Ranges
• In Illinois, the good‑faith, reasonable annualized full‑time salary range for this role is between $138,500 - $165,500.
• In Massachusetts, the good‑faith, reasonable annualized full‑time salary range for this role is between $145,000 - $173,000.
• In Texas, the good‑faith, reasonable annualized full‑time salary range for this role is between $132,500 - $158,000.
Additional Compensation
• Annual discretionary performance bonus
• 4.5% 401(k) company contribution, increasing after 3 years and fully vested upon start
