Overview
World-class Boston-area University has newly created HR Operations Manager position.
Will help modernize and scale how HR works. Identify/implement improved processes/procedures, handle a variety of HRIS items and drive digital transformation.
Human Resources Operations Manager
Salary - $120-128K
Hybrid (2-3 days/week in office)
SummaryResponsible for supporting HR systems and workforce analytics initiatives across several key areas: HRIS, People Analytics, Compliance, Business Process Optimization, and Project Management.
Will assist in developing and maintaining system plans that meet Human Resources automation, data, and information management requirements.
This position is an Operations role. Not an outward facing Recruiting role or HR Manager or Business Partner.
Need HRIS experience.
Responsibilities- Lead HR Systems Operational Strategy & Processes (25%) - Designs, implements, and maintains scalable processes to optimize core operations such as onboarding, offboarding, promotions and employment lifecycle events. Manages the Performance Management and Annual Salary Review process.
- Leads HR Digital Transformation: (25%) - Represents HR during the planning, coordination, and integration of our new ERP system, ensuring alignment with business objectives and cross-functional collaboration. Lead initiatives and projects including HR transformation work, digital automation including generative AI, and HR system design work and implementations.
- Leads HR Data Analytics (25%) - Lead the development and implementation of a data-driven HR strategy, leveraging key metrics and analytics to inform decision-making, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement across the organization. Provide oversight for data entry, reporting, and analytics, leveraging insights to improve operations and decision-making.
- Enable HR Operational Excellence (25%) - Mentor and train team members to support adoption of new tools and technologies, fostering skill development and ensure consistent application of policies, processes, and standards. Develop and manage operating budgets, ensuring alignment with school objectives while maintaining fiscal accountability. Review, select and manage external vendors. Ensure HR activities, records, and forms are in compliance with applicable laws or guidelines.
- 8-12+ years of Human Resources or Operations Management experience including HRIS experience; including some higher-education industry experience.
- Experience with data analytics and data visualization tools (ie: Tableau, Power BI).
- Comfortable serving as a subject matter expert, ranging from everyday data management to strategic level thinking.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP (and related functions), and building models for analysis and decision support.
