Payroll Associate
Position: Payroll Associate
Pay: $70,000 - $77,500
Location: Boston, MA (Boston based organization)

- Office Requirements:
You’ll start by working on-site 4 days a week for the first few months to get fully up to speed. After that, the client is happy to provide more flexibility as you settle into the role.
- Process accurate weekly payroll for up to 250 employees across multiple employment types.
- Ensure compliance with union agreements and handle union billing and reporting requirements.
- Interpret and apply employee contracts to payroll calculations.
- Maintain payroll records and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate with HR and management to ensure timely and accurate employee data updates.
- Assist with onboarding processes, including new hire paperwork and system setup.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits in a professional manner.
- Stay current on payroll regulations, labor laws, and union requirements.
- 2+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a unionized environment.
- Strong understanding of payroll systems, union contracts, and labor compliance.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
- Education:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, HR, or related field preferred.
