Position Summary
The Assistant Front Office Manager is an entry-level management position responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Front Office. This role partners with Front Office leadership to ensure exceptional guest service, operational efficiency, and a positive work environment within a high-volume urban hotel.
This position provides hands-on leadership during peak arrival and departure periods and serves as a resource for front desk colleagues while developing foundational management skills.
Salary Range: $67,000 - $74,000 annually.
This position has a good-faith annual salary range of $78,000 to $74,000. The final compensation offered will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity.
This position is classified as exempt and is not eligible for overtime compensation.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the daily operation of the Front Desk, Guest Services, and related front office functions.
* Lead by example in delivering professional, efficient, and personalized guest service aligned with Hyatt brand standards.
* Assist in managing high-volume check-in and check-out periods, including group and convention transitions.
* Respond to guest concerns and support service recovery efforts to ensure guest satisfaction.
* Collaborate with Housekeeping, Engineering, and other departments to ensure room readiness and seamless service delivery.
* Assist with daily staffing coordination based on occupancy and business levels.
* Support adherence to front office procedures, including cash handling and internal controls.
* Provide coaching and real-time feedback to front office colleagues.
* Participate in training, onboarding, and leadership development activities.
* Maintain compliance with hotel policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
