The 1,054‑room Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport is the newest luxury hotel in the city, featuring seven dining outlets, a signature spa, fitness center, rooftop pool, and over 100,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

Job Description

The Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport is located in the bustling Seaport District. AAA Four Diamond rated, it boasts finely appointed guestrooms, suites, dining experiences, and a rooftop pool. The hotel was voted “2023 Best Places to Work” by the Boston Business Journal.

The Banquet Bartender is responsible for delivering excellence in guest service by building relationships with guests, anticipating and meeting their needs, and serving cocktails and beverages efficiently.

Hourly rate: $31.66

Responsibilities
  • Manage a variety of alcoholic beverages and maintain complete knowledge of the food and beverage menu.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, hotel standards, and local laws.
  • Maintain high‑quality bar sets, service, and presentation of food and beverage.
  • Verify guests’ identification for proof of age when required.
  • Respond to guests’ requests accurately and timely, creating a memorable experience.
  • Ensure prompt delivery and quality control from point of departure to arrival.
  • Perform accurate POS procedures and handle cash/credit in accordance with hotel policies.
  • Attend required department trainings and meetings.
Qualifications
  • Hands‑on food and beverage knowledge and comprehensive hospitality business knowledge.
  • Strong mixology, beverage garnish, and overall beverage service skills, including liquor, beer, and wine knowledge.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours during busy times and high‑profile events, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Highly developed customer service skills, friendly approachable demeanor, and strong problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Serve Safe certified; unexpired TIPs required.
