Guest Service Agent – Full Time – Double Tree by Hilton Boston Bayside

Compensation: $25.00+ per hour

What you will be doing

A Guest Services Agent is responsible for greeting and registering guests and checking them out of the hotel in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

  • Greet guests and complete registration, including inputting information, confirming guest details, room rates, selecting rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting marketing programs, providing welcome packets, and ensuring guests know their room location.
  • Assist guests with check‑out, ensuring rooms and services are accounted for, using the point‑of‑sale system, handling money, processing credit/debit cards, recording various payments, converting foreign currency, making change and processing gift certificates and cards.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of hotel information — room categories, rates, packages, promotions, local area, and general product knowledge — and answer guest questions.
  • Use up‑selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities, maximizing room occupancy.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests, resolving issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
  • Field guest complaints, conduct research and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction.
  • Receive, input, retrieve and relay messages to guests.
