Position: MRI Tech-$15,000 Sign-on Bonus

Location:

Boston, MA.

Schedule:

Full time – Days, Evenings, Weekends.

Up to $5,000 relocation reimbursement for eligible candidates. $15,000 sign‑on bonus and increased rates for 2024.

Job Summary

Under general supervision of the MRI/CT Supervisor and following established policies and procedures, the technologist operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain diagnostic images used by physicians for the treatment of pathologies.

Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI scanner to acquire high quality images for diagnostic use.
  • Provide technical and ancillary support to the department mission through demonstrated clinical and academic competency in MRI.
  • Maintain clinical competency by completing required training, meeting all responsibilities in each assigned area, working unsupervised in the clinical setting, rotating as needed, and holding appropriate ARRT and ACR registration and advanced certification.
  • Adhere to safety standards set by the Radiology Department, Boston Medical Center, and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an ARRT approved MRI program.
  • ARRT registered; BLS required.
  • Advanced MRI certification required or obtained within one year of employment.
  • Experience in MRI preferred; MRI classroom experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy and medical terminology, with analytical skills to apply imaging processes, techniques, and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of RIS and HIS.
  • Strong time‑management, judgment, prioritization, problem‑solving, and emergency‑response skills.
  • Positive, team‑oriented attitude and professional appearance.
