Job Details
• Work in a hospital setting within multiple Med/Surg and Telemetry units,
• Float among 5 different Med Surg/Tele units including ortho, urology, neurology, GYN, cardiology, and cardio-thoracic,
• Patient ratios average 5:1 across units with unit sizes between 16 and 32 beds,
• Shift is 12-hour nights, with every other weekend and every other holiday required,
• Most Fridays will be required during the contract,
• No specific schedule requests or extended time off allowed,
• Uses Meditech EMR; experience is required,
Job Requirements
• Active MA RN license required,
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required,
• Minimum 2 years recent acute care RN experience and cardiac experience required,
• Must be able to independently read telemetry strips,
• Experience with Meditech IVs required,
• Must pass an on-site telemetry exam on Day 1 with a score of 84% or better (two attempts allowed),
• Level 1 Trauma hospital experience required,
• Preferred 3-5 years float experience and ability to adapt quickly to different units,
• 2 managerial references with recent performance evaluations required, including one from the past 12 months,
Additional Information
• Responsibilities include providing nursing care across various Med/Surg and Telemetry patient populations,
• Must adapt quickly to changing environments and units,
• Participation in Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia testing is required with up to two attempts,
• Teamwork is emphasized due to frequent floating between units,
• Holiday coverage is required as scheduled,
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate,
