Responsibilities- The Associate Director of Value and Access Strategic Marketing will play a critical role with the Market Access launch preparations for fertility, and execution of the inline EMD Serono fertility brands. This role will partner, contribute, & ensure development of EMD Serono’s Access Value Proposition for the launch brands. This includes deep customer insight generation that leads to innovative access channel solutions that elevate EMD Serono’s corporate image and relationships with leading payers, health systems, fertility benefit managers, and other access customers including MSOs, IDNS, fertility pharmacies, etc.
- Reporting to the VP, Value and Access Strategic Marketing, this Associate Director work closely with the Director, Value and Access Strategic Marketer to support the development & implementation of payer access strategies. Creating tactical plans to support the market access field teams in the execution of access strategy to ensure optimal coverage across the commercial channel. Within the self-pay channel, the associate director will be responsible to provide strategic support and tactical plans to optimize market share and patient journey.
The play a critical role of fostering collaboration with Managed Markets Account Management, Operations, Pricing Analytics, Health Outcomes, Finance, Brand Marketing teams, and Medical to achieve the vision of fertility brands.
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 5+ years bio-pharmaceutical/healthcare industry experience OR Masters Degree and minimum 3+ years experience OR PhD and minimum 2+ years experience
- Masters Degree, Pharm
D, PhD preferred - 3 years in payer access developing strategies and value propositions for Fertility products preferred
- Knowledge of US Fertility and payer landscape including:
Commercial payers, Medicare, Medicaid, Veteran’s Affair, Department of Defense, Group Purchasing Organization, Integrated Delivery Networks, Fertility Benefit Managers, Self-Pay and future payer models and fertility access influencers including Management Service Organizations and Fertility Pharmacies - Ability to identify & provide solutions to market access management trends including physician payment models, ASP Impact, 340B, self-pay, copays & coinsurance, Prior Authorization
- Ability to communicate openly and share information to foster trust while encouraging constructive debate, making informed decisions, and ensuring shared commitment to outcomes.
- Proficiency to translate complex information into succinct and impactful marketing messages; ability to present to all levels of the organizations to individuals and groups as well as respond succinctly and clearly to any questions
- Outstanding team orientation and ability to influence without authority. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
