Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of current physical therapy experience required. License:
New Hampshire Physical Therapy license or compact required.

Certifications:

Active American Heart Association BLS required.

  • Must-Have: Doctorate in Physical Therapy required.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of Physical Therapy required.
  • Previous rehab experience required.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work inpatient PT as needed.
  • Must be able to treat all normal diagnoses seen in outpatient clinics.
  • Must provide profile with permanent address.
  • Candidate must have their own vehicle.

Description:

This facility will not consider any traveler who resides within 50 miles of the facility. To avoid processing delays, please provide your permanent address in your profile upload. Our approach to physical therapy includes direct involvement with each patient. We combine advanced hands-on techniques with patient education and individualized rehabilitative programs. Each therapist has training in a wide variety of traditional techniques and some also have training in non-traditional treatment methods.

We are helping patients who have:

  • Orthopaedic and sports injuries
  • Gait training
  • Balance training, fractures, sprains, and dislocations
  • Musculoskeletal dysfunctions
  • Neck and back pain
  • Neurological disorders such as stroke and Parkinson’s
  • Balance and fall prevention
  • Bone and joint diseases
  • Hand injuries
  • Workplace injuries
  • Pelvic floor dysfunction
  • Incontinence
  • Pulmonary rehabilitation

Typical patient ratio is 8 per day Monday-Thursday, and 6 on Friday. This traveler will provide evaluations and treatments including manual techniques and therapeutic exercises. Patients may have varying diagnoses including post-operative care, joint replacement, back pain, tendonitis, general deconditioning, balance, and vertigo issues. Requested time off during the course of this assignment must be noted and verified uests for time off submitted after upload will not be approved.

No more than 5 days of time off will be accepted, with fewer days preferred. All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission. Facility will not approve scheduling requests after the time of the offer. Please obtain this information prior to submission. Requests after an offer may lead to a rescinded offer. Traveler profile must include work history, skills checklist, and one supervisory signed reference from the past two years of employment.

Previous travel experience is strongly preferred. CPSI EMR experience is highly preferred. Previous experience working with PTAs is preferred. Traveler candidates must include their permanent address in their profiles. This is a small community without public transport. Candidate must have their own vehicle. All requests for time off must be included in the profile.

Responsibilities
  • Provide evaluations and treatments including manual techniques and therapeutic exercises.
  • Work with patient diagnoses typical of outpatient settings; may include post-operative care, joint replacement, back pain, tendonitis, deconditioning, balance, and vertigo.
  • Maintain a typical patient load as described (8 per day Mon-Thu, 6 on Friday).
