Position: Program Admin Manager I- Colorectal and Pelvic Malformation Ctr

Position Summary

The role supports the Colorectal and Pelvic Malformation Center at Boston Children’s Hospital, a nationally recognized program providing specialized, compassionate care to infants, children, and adolescents with complex colorectal and pelvic conditions. The program cares for patients from diagnosis through childhood, adolescence, and beyond, including those requiring initial surgical intervention or revision of prior procedures, and is dedicated to delivering coordinated, family-centered care across all stages of life.

Candidates with management experience, a strong background in healthcare, and hands‑on experience with Epic are highly encouraged to apply. This role is ideal for a patient‑focused leader who thrives in a fast‑paced healthcare environment, brings strong leadership and communication skills, and has experience supporting teams while delivering an exceptional patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manages the implementation of program goals and objectives.
  • May prepare budget proposals and recommendations and establishes budget control system for controlling expenditures; controls expenditures in accordance with budget allocations; recommends equipment and resources for program.
  • May manage project scope and timeline through formal change management processes May manages project issues and risks through standard issue/risk process.
  • May manage, select, train, evaluate and manage unit or department staff for effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Performs need assessments, evaluates and analyzes individual program and overall unit or department effectiveness; implements appropriate procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy to fulfill the unit or department and campus mission.
  • Manages the development of internal systems and materials for delivery of programs and services.
  • Provides technical advice, policy interpretation, and guidance for application of appropriate procedures to staff, students and administrators.
  • Develops and facilitates or oversees the development and facilitation of workshops, seminars and orientations.
  • Developments information flyers, internal forms and various materials to facilitate unit or department programs and services. Interacts and maintains liaison with staff, faculty and outside/community agencies in facilitating program objectives.
Minimum Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Master’s degree preferred
Experience
  • Four years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
  • Ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies
Schedule

M-F, Hybrid- 4 days onsite and 1 day from home after fully trained.
