Job Summary

Medical Laboratory Scientist I – Dayshift microbiology. Sign‑on bonus of $10,000 for eligible candidates. Rate starts at $33, hourly pay $22.88–$32.72.

• Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, test analyses, reporting, and record maintenance.
• Maintain records demonstrating that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient samples.
• Adhere to quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations, and maintenance performed.
• Follow corrective action policies and procedures when test systems deviate from acceptable levels.
• Identify problems affecting test performance or reporting and correct or notify supervisors immediately.
• Document all corrective actions taken for deviated test systems.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science from an accredited institution (required).
• Preferred laboratory experience; training will be provided.
• ASCP Certified or eligible required for MLS role.
