—who enjoys digging into claims and driving resolution.
Local MA candidates only
This is a 6-month contract with potential to extend. You’ll support healthcare billing operations with a heavy focus on accounts receivable follow-up, claims research, and payer communication.
Pay Rate: $23–$27/hour
Schedule: 7:30am–4:00pm OR 8:00am–4:30pm
- Perform extensive accounts receivable follow-up on healthcare claims
- Research denied, rejected, and no-response claims
- Resolve claim issues and file appeals when appropriate
- Contact payers to investigate and clear outstanding claims
- Work within clearinghouses to resolve claim discrepancies
- Track findings, maintain accuracy, and communicate issues clearly to leadership
- Support process improvement efforts related to billing workflows
- Experience with Massachusetts healthcare billing
- Prior healthcare billing or AR experience
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deliverable-driven environment
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and demonstrated accuracy
- Ability to prioritize and adapt as priorities shift
- Comfortable working with third-party practice management systems and Excel
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of relevant billing or accounts receivable experience
