Position: Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular OR/CVOR
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) position in Massachusetts, requiring an active MA RN license and strong cardiovascular surgical experience.

Job Details

• Hospital-based CVOR setting with focus on cardiac, cardiac transplant, open vascular/endovascular, thoracic, thoracic robotics, and general surgeries,

• Four 10-hour shifts (6:45a-5:15p or 9:00a-7:30p) or five 8-hour shifts (6:45a-3:15p or 11:00a-7:30p),

• One weekend of cardiac or endovascular call per month, Friday 7pm-Monday 7am, with a 30-minute response time required while on call,

• One short call shift weekly (2 or 4 hours) in the evening,

• One CVI call night per week for cardiac or endovascular emergencies (7:00p-7:00a),

• Eligible to work holidays as assigned during the contract,

• Circulating required; scrubbing experience preferred but not mandatory,

Job Requirements

• Active MA RN license required at time of consideration,

• 1-3 years of related Operating Room experience required,

• At least one year of OR nursing experience,

• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications are required,

• Experience with cardiovascular and cardiac transplant surgeries required,

• No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility will be considered,

• A minimum six-month break is required for previous employees of the health system,

• COVID-19 vaccine with booster and annual Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions allowed),

• Pass Tele/ECG and Medication Test if assigned to applicable campuses,

Additional Information

• Duties include circulating and, preferably, scrubbing for a variety of cardiovascular, thoracic, and endovascular procedures,

• Work closely with interdisciplinary surgical teams including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff,

• Weekly orientation sessions held every Monday except holidays,

• Candidates must provide all required time off requests at the time of application,

• First-time travelers are considered,

• Scrub attire: hospital-provided scrubs required while in the OR,

• Parking may incur a significant daily cost,
