Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in a cardiac-focused hospital setting requiring a MA RN license and recent telemetry and acute care experience.

Job Details

• Position is in a hospital environment with floating between cardiac and med/surg units,

• Care provided to cardiac medical-surgical and telemetry patients,

• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 am - 7:30 pm, with every other weekend and every other holiday required,

• Use of Meditech IVs and telemetry equipment,

• Must be able to independently read telemetry strips and pass an onsite exam on Day 1,

• EPIC EMR experience is strongly preferred,

Job Requirements

• Active MA RN license required,

• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required,

• Minimum of 2 years recent acute care experience and recent telemetry and cardiac experience required,

• Level 1 Trauma Hospital experience required,

• Must be able to adapt quickly to different units,

• Must pass Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test, with up to two attempts allowed,

• Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include caring for patients in both cardiac and med/surg units and independently interpreting telemetry strips,

• Staff will float between units based on hospital needs,

• No extended time off or specific schedule requests permitted,

• Holiday coverage is required for assigned holidays,

• First time travelers may be considered for this position,

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel nurses,
