Job Details
• Work in a hospital-based float pool covering 5 different Med/Surg and Telemetry units,
• Level 1 Trauma hospital environment,
• Patient population includes Med/Surg and cardiac telemetry cases,
• 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and every other holiday required,
• Use of Meditech for IVs and Epic for electronic charting,
• Floating to various units as required,
Job Requirements
• Active Massachusetts RN license required,
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required,
• Minimum of 2 years recent acute care experience with cardiac and telemetry nursing,
• Ability to independently read telemetry strips and pass an on-site exam (84% or better, up to 2 attempts) on Day 1,
• Epic EMR experience required,
• Level 1 Trauma hospital experience required,
• Preferred 3-5 years of previous float experience,
• Two professional references required, one must be managerial and include a performance evaluation,
Additional Information
• Must be able to adapt quickly to different units and patient populations,
• Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test A or B is required, with a maximum of two attempts,
• Most Fridays will be required and specific schedule requests cannot be accommodated,
• No extended time off will be approved during the contract,
• Monthly parking fees may apply,
• Professional references cannot be from another traveler,
• Preferred reference from last travel assignment,
