Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in a Level 1 trauma hospital with strong cardiac and telemetry skills required.

Job Details

• Work in a hospital setting across cardiac and medical-surgical units,

• Care for cardiac and general adult medical-surgical patient populations,

• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with every other weekend and holiday required,

• Floating between cardiac and medical-surgical units is expected,

• Utilizes telemetry monitoring and IVs,

• Uses Meditech as the primary EMR;
Epic experience is strongly preferred,

Job Requirements

• Active MA RN license required at the time of consideration,

• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required and must be current,

• Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience in Med/Surg Tele, with recent cardiac experience expected,

• Experience in a Level 1 trauma hospital required,

• Ability to independently read telemetry strips and pass an onsite dysrhythmia exam with at least 84% (2 attempts),

• Must be able to quickly adapt to different units,

Additional Information

• Must provide care for patients in both cardiac and med/surg units as needed,

• Completion of Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test required before or at start of assignment,

• No extended RTO or specific schedule requests will be accommodated,

• Two professional references required, one from a manager within the last 12 months and a second within the last 3 years,
