The Transportation Associate provides transportation services to the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center PACE centers, serving the frail elderly, and providing courier services between Neighbor Health locations and PACE sites.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00PM

• Offers emotional and physical support to frail elderly patients and families.
• Transports participants to/from inside their homes to/from the assigned PACE Center or appointment (via stair chair carry, wheelchair or walking assistance).
• Properly secures participants, equipment and other items in the van prior to operating the vehicle.
• Operates vehicle(s) in a manner that meets the Neighbor Health transportation requirements.
• Maintains vehicles and adjunct equipment in a manner that meets the Neighbor Health transportation requirements.
• Operates, uses and understands adjunct equipment used in the performance of the job.
• Follows proper procedures for loading and unloading participants on the vehicle using the lift or stairs.
• Cooperates with intake and assessment team in the evaluation and re‑evaluation of program participants.
• Follows Infection Control procedures.
• Provides courier service between Neighbor Health locations and PACE sites.
• Performs other related duties as required.

• HS Diploma/GED preferred
• Current MA driver’s license for a minimum of 3 years
• Safe driving record for three years. Must provide a True and Attested Driving Record from the Mass Department of Transportation when asked
• A Department of Transportation Medical Certification Driver Fitness Examination (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). also be required
• Heart Saver First Aid AED required upon starting
