Brief Overview

Physician Assistant Otolaryngology

• Providing comprehensive healthcare services to patients in Pediatric Otolaryngology.
• Obtaining comprehensive patient histories and performing physical exams for both new and return patients.
• Performing pre-operative, post operative and urgent ORL evaluations in the ORL clinic.
• Assisting with procedures both in the clinic setting and in the operating room.
• Participating in multidisciplinary clinics and communicating effectively with all members of the team.
• Ordering necessary diagnostic tests, consultations and procedures and issuing appropriate prescriptions/medications.
• Actively participating in Department of ORishwa educational meetings and conferences.
• Participating in research project opportunities.
• Working 40 hours per week: four 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday and will rotate primarily between Boston, Waltham, and Needham. Occasional shifts at either Weymouth, North Dartmouth, Lexington and Peabody as needed.

• A Master of Physician Assistant Studies

• Previous OR experience is preferred
• Prior Otolaryngology/Pediatric experience strongly preferred
• New grad PAs will be considered

• A current license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to practice as a Physician Assistant.
