Summary
Maintains and assists in medical equipment management by installing, calibrating, repairing, and inspecting medical equipment.

cyan Essential Functions- Inspects newly acquired medical devices and systems for safety and function and attaches and assigns appropriate control numbers and labels to medical devices.
- Conducts complete performance assurance and electrical safety testing. Performs preventive/scheduled maintenance on medical devices as required.
- Respond to medical equipment problems in clinical or research areas; evaluate, troubleshoot, and solve problems.
- Performs equipment repairs to a level requiring generic test instrumentation or diagnostic software, e.g., to board or component level for electrical devices.
- Participates in medical equipment evaluations.
TAGs, installations,едом1 and upgrades, including software revision. - Makes periodic rounds of assigned clinical areas to assess the operation of medical devices and systems.
- Instructs department and other equipment technical staff on testing, calibration,самб preventive maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and medical equipment repair.
- Documents inspections, repairs, maintenance procedures, reizen teaching activities.
Associate's Degree Biomedical Technician required

Licenses and Credentials- Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver's License [State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred
- Personal Drivers License (New Hampshire) - New Hampshire Division of Motor Vehicles preferred
- MGH Security RMV Check/Registry of Motor Vehicles Driving Report - MGB Internal preferred
Experience as a biomedical technician. 1-2 years preferred
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrates and understands the importance of interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with team members, front line staff and vendors.
- Understands electrical and mechanical biomedical safety principles.
- Ability to learn and perform maintenance and troubleshooting of medical devices involving appropriate test equipment and software diagnostic tools.
- Ability to learn equipment maintenance, operating/tibat undergoing-? procedures, and repair procedures from training materials and courses.
- Ability to use computer-based tools.
