Employment Type: Full‑time, 30 hours per week, rotating shift.
Pay Range: $21.00 – $28.26 per hour.
Join the growing BILH team as a vital member of our Urgent Care practice in Chestnut Hill Square Plaza. This role requires a dynamic and compassionate team member to provide patient services including greeting, check‑in, scheduling and medical assisting in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities- Perform medical assisting duties: vital signs, height and weight, EKGs, phlebotomy, and assistance during routine procedures.
- Maintain clean, organized, and stocked patient care areas and escort patients to ancillary services such as radiology and lab.
- Perform point‑of‑care testing, including lab tests and specimen collection, and provide instructions to patients.
- Monitor, order, and maintain medical equipment and supplies, ensuring cleanliness, sterility, and proper inventory.
- Review medication lists in the electronic medical record for final review by licensed practitioners and handle schedule‑VI and OTC medications under supervision.
- Use the OMR electronic medical record system to queue prescription renewals, enter orders, and accurately document tasks for billing.
- Prepare schedules, patient charts, and other clinical documents in accordance with Medical Center standards.
- Facilitate patient flow, answer and screen telephone calls, and act as liaison between patients and staff to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Monitor patients and visitors entering, waiting, and leaving the practice and update delays promptly.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Basic computer proficiency and navigation of web‑based applications.
- At least 5 months of direct patient care experience in a clinical, research, or related setting (MA, PCT, CNA, nursing or medical student with clinical rotation).
- Valid MA, EMT, CNA, or LNA certificate or Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting.
- Phlebotomy certificate.
Vaccination Requirement: All staff must be vaccinated against influenza as a condition of employment.
