Term Lecturer – MGH Institute of Health Professions
Join the MGH Institute of Health Professions (a graduate school in Boston) as a Term Lecturer. The Institute offers a wide range of programs including Communication Sciences & Disorders, Genetic Counseling, Health Professions Education, Healthcare Administration & Data Analytics, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant Studies, Rehabilitation Sciences, Healthcare Leadership, Audiology, and more. Positions are semester‑by‑semester, contingent on student demand, and typically involve teaching 3–9 credits per semester in various formats (classroom, labs, simulation spaces, clinical sites).
Term Lecturers hold titles such as Lecturer, Course Developer, Facilitator, Laboratory Instructor, Simulation Coordinator, Site Clinical Instructor, Teaching Fellow, Clinical Oversight Instructor, or Project Mentor.
- Deliver high‑quality instruction aligned with expertise and program needs.
- Develop and manage online course content using Desire to Learn (D2L) where applicable.
- Publish and maintain course syllabi.
- Oversee course management and content delivery.
- Conduct assessments and assign grades.
- Provide student mentoring and academic support, including office hours.
- Advanced or terminal degree relevant to the program.
- Previous clinical experience in the applicable fields.
- Active professional license if required by the program.
- Commitment to graduate student success and dedication to diversity and inclusion.
- Ability to work independently and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders (students, faculty, administration, staff, patients, partners).
