About the Role
The Patient Education Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting Profound Medical’s mission by serving as a key point of contact for patients seeking information about the TULSA procedure. The role is responsible for delivering clear, compassionate, and patient-friendly education, nurturing patient leads, facilitating referrals to authorized TULSA Pro centers, and helping ensure a smooth, supportive experience throughout the patient journey.
The specialist works closely with the Marketing and Field teams to enhance patient engagement, education, and conversion. This role reports to the Patient Education Lead.
- Serve as a key point of contact for patients, providing education and guidance about the TULSA procedure via phone and responding to inquiries with empathy and clarity.
- Manage patient leads in Hub Spot, ensuring accurate data entry, timely follow-up, and consistent nurturing to support patient conversion and experience.
- Coordinate patient referrals to authorized TULSA Pro centers, working with both patients and clinical staff to ensure a smooth handoff.
- Contribute to the development of patient-friendly educational content (in partnership with Marketing Communications), including brochures, videos, FAQs, and web content.
- Support field teams by providing tools and resources to aid in patient communication and engagement efforts.
- Gather and share patient feedback to help evaluate and improve educational materials and patient support processes.
- Track patient engagement metrics and provide insights to refine educational outreach and improve conversion rates.
Bachelor’s degree; BSN, Bachelor’s in Health Sciences or Public Health preferred.
Key Attributes- Registered Nurse with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in clinical practice.
- Experience in oncology and/or robotic surgery is highly preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to educate and support patients in an approachable, patient-friendly manner.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms (such as Hub Spot) and experience with lead nurturing, pipeline management, and conversion best practices.
- Strong collaboration and project management abilities, with a track record of working effectively across cross‑functional teams.
