Shelter Staff Support Clinician
Location:
444 Harrison Ave, Boston, MA. 100% on site; no remote work.
Job Type: Full‑time, 40 hours per week (Sunday–Wednesday, 6 AM–4:30 PM). Essential position for weather and other emergencies.
Salary: $71,000 – $114,400 annually, DOE.
SummaryThe Shelter Staff Support Clinician assists staff in creating a safe and healthy environment and maintaining relationships with guests in the Men’s Inn. The clinician supports and trains staff to minimize secondary trauma, responds to guests in crisis, and navigates emergency safety procedures.
The role collaborates with direct care staff, PSI clinical teams, Men’s Inn staff and leadership, the DMH MATCH Team, Behavioral Health Team, and Housing Stabilization Team.
Requirements- Licensure as an LMHC or LICSW, or Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in human services.
- Knowledge of trauma, addiction, recovery, mental illness, and homelessness.
- Skills in motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, and de‑escalation.
- Experience administering Narcan and CPR.
- Knowledge of area resources.
- Fluency in English/Spanish/Haitian Creole.
Mid‑Senior level.
