Certified Surgical Technician, Inpatient Surgery (36 hours, Day/Evening) - Sign On Bonus Available Schedule
36 hours, Day/Evening, every third weekend, call required.
Position SummaryAs a member of the surgical team, the surgical technician provides patient care during surgical procedures by providing an aseptic and safe environment. Duties include prepping and sterilizing rooms, transporting patients, passing instruments, and assisting surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other staff during surgery. Uses technical and aseptic techniques to ensure the methodology complies with established sterile standards and procedures.
Sign-On Bonus- $10,000 sign-on bonus for candidates with over 1 year of multi-specialty experience, paid out after successfully completing 6 months of employment.
- $5,000 sign-on bonus for candidates with less than 1 year or single specialty experience, paid out after successfully completing 6 months of employment.
$38.94 - $49.38 per hour.
This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. EducationRequires a high school diploma or equivalent. Must also be a graduate of an accredited/approved program in surgical technology (or completed an Armed Forces medic or corpsmen program).
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations RequiredSurgical Technician certification required (unless employed as a surgical technologist in a surgical facility on or before July 1, 2013).
Knowledge and Skills- Previous surgical tech experience preferred.
- Ability to effectively speak, read, and write English.
- Ability to accurately interpret and use medical terminology and abbreviations.
- Computer proficiency to access and enter computerized data/information.
- Effective interpersonal skills to interact appropriately with patients, families, physicians, and other hospital staff.
- Organizational skills to effectively set priorities and efficiently complete assigned work.
