$19.06/hr - $27.64/hr
Position SummaryProvide support for the Med Surg ICU on a per diem basis. In this role, you will help ensure the best possible patient experience by effectively coordinating services for patients and families, supporting departmental initiatives focused on continuous process improvement, and performing basic administrative functions that support unit and hospital operations.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Encounter Management:
- Deliver positive and effective customer service that supports unit operations.
- Collaborate with referring providers and practices.
- Obtain required authorizations to compile patient and staff schedules.
- Schedule patients and support their encounters.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Record and forward messages, triage calls for urgent information or services, and initiate emergency calls as needed.
- Process admissions and discharges.
- Provide routine clerical support as required.
- Minimum education:
High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred. - Preferred experience:
Prior customer service or administrative experience. - Must communicate effectively both orally and in writing and demonstrate empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
- Ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.
- Night shift: 11:00 pm – 7:30 am
- Day shift: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm & 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
