Materials Coordinator Per Diem, Day Shift at Boston Medical Center (BMC)

This description reflects the job duties and qualifications for the Materials Coordinator Per Diem, Day Shift role. The position covers weekend coverage and other weekdays as needed for hospital supplies.
To inventory and replenish the assigned unit with medical/surgical supplies, oxygen and associated supplies.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions- Provide superior customer service to internal and external clients, customers, and patients as referenced in the Service Excellence Standards.
- Receive medical/surgical products and replenish user areas via the totes program.
- Inventory supply par level areas and return overstocked items to the proper location on a daily basis.
- Maintain the supply area in a clean and orderly manner.
- Inventory and order medical gases as per par level.
- Act as a materials troubleshooter coordinating deliveries to requesters and thinking proactively.
- Monitor and replenish patient linen and soiled linen bags as needed to maintain sufficient supply.
- Respond to user requests for needed supplies and coordinate delivery to requester.
- Perform other duties as required by the manager.
Reports to CSR Manager. Attendant has the authority to replenish use areas up to par and to adjust for spikes in product usage.

HS Diploma or Equivalent - Minimum Experience:
Computer literate; strong communication skills; ability to count and be detail oriented, neat and orderly - Certification/Licensure: N/A
Range: $18.78 - $27.90 per hour
