Pharmacist – Per Diem

CLASSIFICATION/STATUS:
Non-Exempt (hourly), Per Diem

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:
Director of Pharmacy

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None

PAY RANGE:
Band H ($59.00 - 75.00/hour)

Role & Impact

Charles River Community Health (CRCH) is dedicated to partnering with individuals and families to promote healthier lives through comprehensive, integrated, and equitable primary healthcare. As a Per Diem Pharmacist, you will manage the operation of the pharmacy, including purchasing, preparation, and distribution of drugs, and provide clinical oversight while collaborating with medical staff.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all dispensing activities.
  • Ensure accurate service delivery to clients.
  • Collaborate with administration, physicians, and nursing staff to provide quality care.
  • Maintain accurate billing documents and inventory control records.
  • Comply with all standardized professional policies and procedures.
  • Work with pharmacy staff to achieve clinical effectiveness.
  • Adhere to State and Federal laws and regulations.
  • Control distribution and use of all medications, including narcotics and barbiturates.
  • Keep precise records for each prescription filled, including control files and billing records.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities within the department.
Qualifications, Competencies, Traits
  • College degree (Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral) in pharmacy from an American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) accredited college.
  • Current, valid, unrestricted Pharmacist license in the Commonwealth of MA.
  • 1–3 years of pharmacy or related experience, preferably in retail pharmacy services.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Exceptional people skills.
  • Proficiency in communicating with patients in both English and Spanish (preferred).
