Description Senior Credit Officer – Commercial & Industrial (C&I) - Corporate Banking Division
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Credit Officer to support and oversee credit risk within a Commercial & Industrial (C&I) portfolio of the Corporate Banking division. This role is responsible for independently evaluating, approving, and managing credit exposure across a diversified portfolio, with a sizeable concentration in healthcare. The position requires sound credit judgment, strategic thinking, and the ability to operate decisively in a fast-paced and multi‑stakeholder environment.
The Senior Credit Officer role is highly visible and influential—requiring strong interpersonal skills, expertise in commercial credit, and the ability to collaborate effectively across a geographically dispersed organization while maintaining disciplined risk oversight and supporting business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Exercise delegated credit authority to review, approve, decline, or recommend credit actions for new originations, renewals, amendments, and modifications
- Provide clear, objective, and independent credit assessments, ensuring alignment with risk appetite, underwriting standards, and regulatory expectations
- Promote analytical rigor and best practices across underwriting and portfolio management teams
- Partner and collaborate with line of business counterparts to constructively achieve portfolio objectives
- Ensure all credit delivery activities are completed in a timely, efficient, and prudent manner with a solution-oriented mindset
- Maintain disciplined monitoring of portfolio trends and exposures, supporting early risk detection and strategic portfolio management. Work with Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers and Workout teams to develop corrective actions and minimize loss
- Model and reinforce the bank’s credit culture, providing leadership on credit decisions, risk management approaches, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure adherence to credit policies, procedures, and documentation standards across all credit delivery activities
- 15+ years in a Wholesale Credit and Commercial Lending with primary experience dealing with Corporate credit relationships in a large bank environment
- Healthcare sector lending experience required
- Strong administrative, communication/interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and act independently in a multi-tasked and fast paced environment
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, commercial loan structures, credit policies, and risk governance frameworks

The salary range for this position is $275,000- $300,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
