This position will work as part of the fast‑paced accounting team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a variety of accounting responsibilities including but not limited to bank reconciliations, assisting in preparation of project monthly financials, balance sheet analysis, and the month‑end close process. This person will be available to work on ad hoc requests and assist the accounting team with various projects and tasks.
This person will liaise with internal stakeholders on a regular basis.
This is a hybrid role in our Boston office 2-3 days per week.
- Responsible for all accounting operations for a portfolio of renewable energy projects.
- Conduct balance sheet account analysis and reconciliations.
- Liaise routinely with operations, finance, tax and treasury personnel on a variety of job‑related topics including contract agreements and debt service.
- Assist in the preparation of the project monthly financial reporting package including analysis to support the understanding of the monthly financial statements.
- Work with external auditors and prepare necessary audit work papers and supporting schedules.
- Calculate, record and monitor revenues in accordance with contractual obligations related to energy production for each facility.
- Maintain the fixed asset sub‑ledger for the portfolio of operating assets.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 2 Years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Thorough understanding of internal accounting controls
- Familiarity with Excel and Office Suite
- Experience with Sage X3 and Blackline preferred
- Experience in either audit and/or energy industry preferred
- Experience with Multi‑Site Organization
- Desire to obtain advanced degree and or Professional Certification
- A collaborative style and a can‑do attitude
- Comfortable with fast paced, rapidly changing environment
- Ability to make informed decisions quickly

- Responsible, dependable and possess an exceptional work ethic

The salary range is between $68k - $88k. In addition to base salary, this role includes a corporate bonus. The position offers health, vision/dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, accrued paid time off, life insurance and disability coverage.
