We are seeking a Senior Accountant to provide part-time support in financial analysis, auditing, and investigative accounting. This role involves reviewing financial records, identifying irregularities, and supporting audit and control functions while providing technical guidance to agency staff.

• Analyze financial records, bank statements, and transactions to identify fraud, theft, or embezzlement
• Conduct interviews with relevant stakeholders to gather and validate information
• Collect, document, and preserve evidence while maintaining proper chain of custody
• Identify anomalies, patterns, and trends indicating potential financial misconduct
• Prepare detailed investigative and audit reports, including findings and loss assessments
• Evaluate internal controls and recommend improvements to mitigate financial risk
• Collaborate with legal teams and provide expert input for hearings or proceedings, as needed

• Background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) preferred
• Proven experience in forensic accounting, auditing, or financial investigations
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Quick Books, or similar accounting software
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail, integrity, and strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with auditing standards and procedures
