Position: Operations Specialist Corporate Actions Income

Ops Specialist - CA Income

We are seeking an Ops Specialist responsible for the global processing, balancing, and reconciling of custody positions related to dividend and interest payments.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Receiving and authenticating instructions for transactions.
  • Entering and verifying instructions with dual controls.
  • Collecting dividend and interest income payments for global clients.
  • Validating payment advice from local markets against client receivables.
  • Resolving client entitlement issues internally and deciding whether to repair or escalate to sub-custodians or depositories.
  • Communicating effectively and professionally to minimize risk and exposure.
  • Generating custody and operations reports for daily, weekly, and monthly management reviews.
  • Addressing and resolving discrepancies promptly while keeping clients informed.
  • Identifying trends in payment repairs at the event, sub-custody, or market level.
  • Contributing to process improvement initiatives to enhance straight-through processing (STP).
  • Understanding Division goals and how your role supports them.
  • Assisting in measuring Client Service Standards.
  • Communicating professionally to ensure timely and accurate resolution of client payment issues.
Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in PC applications, particularly the MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong problem identification, escalation, and resolution skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills; detail-oriented.
  • Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Comfortable working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with BBH's internal systems to support client service deliverables.
Work Schedule:
  • In-office:
    Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
  • Work from Home:
    Monday and Friday
Contract Details:
  • Duration: 4 months with potential for extension or full-time opportunity
  • Pay Rate: $24.00/hour
