What we are looking for:

We are looking for an investment professional to join our U.S. Real Estate Private Debt team, supporting the origination, underwriting, and management of senior real estate debt investments across the U.S.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior members of the investment team and gain exposure to the full investment lifecycle, including underwriting, due diligence, transaction execution, and portfolio monitoring.

This role focuses on senior loans across asset classes such as multifamily, industrial, and retail, with transaction sizes typically ranging from $25M to $100M+.

This position is well suited for a candidate with early experience in commercial real estate lending or credit investing who is looking to deepen their exposure to real estate private debt within a global asset management platform.

Your responsibilities:

* Underwriting & Execution:
Support the financial modeling, underwriting, and closing of senior debt transactions. This includes performing deep due diligence on borrowers and assets, procuring market-specific financial info, and analyzing third-party reports.

* Investment Committee (IC) Support:
Help prepare comprehensive materials for internal approvals and present deal merits and risks to the IC for new transactions and portfolio updates.

* Asset Management:
Support the ongoing monitoring of loan covenants and manage construction/reserve draws. Aid in Preparation of monthly and quarterly portfolio monitoring reports.

* Risk Oversight:
Monitor the macro environment and asset performance, reporting on financing maturities, lease terminations, and disbursement dates to the risk management committee.

* Pipeline Management:
Maintain new investment pipeline across strategies.

* Ad-Hoc Projects:
From time to time, will be responsible for projects to improve upon internal infrastructure and the investment process.

Must have requirements to be successful in this role:

The successful candidate will be hired as either a Senior Analyst or Associate based on their depth of experience.

The successful candidate should have:

* 1-3 years of commercial real estate lending experience, including experience with construction loans, bridge loans, credit analysis, loan administration, and asset management.

* Exceptional underwriting and financial analysis, credit modelling and risk assessment skills.

* Experience coordinating due diligence and closing, and third-party consultants.

* Excellent communication skills to present deal risks and merits for investment decisions.

* A cultural fit within Fiera Capital with a true team orientation, strong ethics, integrity, and fiduciary accountability. A team player is a requisite.

* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, to meet stringent timelines, and to handle multiple demands simultaneously.

* Proven interpersonal skills and experience in a collaborative, team-based, results-oriented environment.

* Ideally, an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or Real Estate with a strong academic record.
