We are seeking a self‑motivated, detail‑oriented Finance Manager to join our team at Motional in support of making driverless vehicles a safe, reliable, and accessible reality. As a Finance Manager, you will play a key cross‑functional role working in a fast‑paced environment, collaborating with various departments, ensuring accurate financial modeling and delivering actionable recommendations.

• Be a trusted financial advisor and business partner to analyze, plan, and forecast department and functional level financials
• Develop and maintain financial forecasts and budgets; prepare ad‑hoc financial reports and analysis
• Analyze financial outcomes and provide actionable insights supporting strategic initiatives, cost optimization, and investment opportunities
• Collaborate across the organization and deployment teams to improve accuracy on operating expense forecasting
• Engage in cross‑functional projects with stakeholders from Corporate Strategy, Product, Engineering, HR, and Operations
• Prepare and assist in presenting findings to key stakeholders including the Finance leadership team, and understand business decisions and limitations based on budget
• Support the FP&A teams by performing data analysis, building reports, maintaining and administering financial systems

• Bachelor’s Degree in finance, economics, or another related field
• MBA is a plus
• 3-5 years of professional experience
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling, including the ability to build complex financial models and perform scenario analysis
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail and comfort working with large sets of data
• Excellent communication skills and self‑starter, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to both financial and non‑financial stakeholders
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment with multiple stakeholders
• Familiarity with the automotive or mobility industry in a “startup” environment is beneficial
• Experience with Alteryx or comparable business intelligence and analytics tools is a plus
• Experience with Vena Solutions or comparable FP&A tools is a plus

This role is hybrid from our Boston office. It requires two in‑office days each week, ideally Tuesday and Thursday.

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors including but not limited to specific skills, experience and expertise, role location, certifications, licenses, and business needs. The estimated compensation range listed in this job posting reflects base salary only. This role may include additional forms of compensation such as a bonus or company equity.

Candidates for certain positions are eligible to participate in Motional’s benefits program. Salary Range: $109,000 USD – $142,000 USD.
