SDL Search Partners is partnering with a reputable private equity firm in Boston to identify an Accounts Receivable / Revenue Accounting Manager to join their growing finance team. This is a hybrid opportunity offering strong visibility and the chance to work within a high-performing
This role will play a key leadership role in managing the A/R and revenue accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely collections, and process efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced private equity
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee full‑cycle accounts receivable operations, including invoicing, cash application, collections, and account reconciliations
- Lead revenue accounting activities, ensuring accurate recognition and reporting in compliance with GAAP
- Manage, mentor, and develop a small A/R/revenue team to ensure high performance and professional growth
- Monitor customer accounts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely collections
- Partner with finance and operational teams to streamline billing and revenue processes
- Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes, including A/R and revenue reporting
- Implement and maintain internal controls, policies, and audit compliance procedures
- Provide reporting and analysis on revenue, aging, and cash collections metrics
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA preferred
- 6+ years of experience in accounts receivable, revenue accounting, or related finance functions, including at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role
- Strong understanding of GAAP, revenue recognition principles, and internal controls
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive process improvements in a fast‑paced environment
