Job Title:
Senior Associate, Data Analytics & Reporting

Position Overview

The Senior Associate will play a key role in driving process efficiencies and ensuring data integrity across a capital markets or investment-focused business. This individual will develop automated reporting solutions, streamline data workflows, and provide analytical support to internal stakeholders. The role requires a strong technical foundation, analytical mindset, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain automated solutions to support client, internal, and regulatory reporting needs using tools such as Alteryx, Python, and Power BI.
  • Design, build, and manage automated data workflows to reduce manual effort and increase reporting efficiency.
  • Partner with Investor Relations, Finance, Operations, and Investment teams to understand data aggregation and reporting requirements.
  • Serve as an internal consultant by diagnosing reporting challenges, structuring analyses, and recommending scalable solutions.
  • Develop a deep understanding of internal data systems and information flows.
  • Perform data cleansing and establish guidelines to improve data accuracy and governance.
  • Build and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations to simplify complex datasets for end users.
  • Handle ad-hoc reporting and analytical requests, including user testing and implementation of new solutions.
Qualifications
  • 2–4+ years of experience in data analytics within finance, accounting, or investment environments.
  • Strong Power BI expertise, including data modeling, DAX measures, and advanced visualization techniques.
  • Experience with SQL (preferably Snowflake or similar data warehouses) and Python.
  • Foundational understanding of credit funds, portfolio management, or investment operations preferred.
  • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Ability to think creatively and develop solutions for complex, unstructured requests.
Education & Technical Background
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and DAX required.
  • CPA or CFA (or progress toward certification) is a plus.
  • Strong interest in leveraging technology to improve financial processes and reporting.
