Finance Manager

Vaco by Highspring has partnered with a Investment Management firm in Boston and they are looking to hire a Finance Manager to their team. This role will work closely with senior leadership across finance, operations, investor relations, and investment teams to oversee fund accounting, reporting, portfolio monitoring, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills and direct experience within private equity and private credit strategies.

• Oversee fund accounting for private credit vehicles, including capital calls, distributions, management fees, and carried interest calculations
• Review monthly/quarterly NAV packages prepared by third-party administrators
• Ensure accurate GAAP financial statements and coordinate annual audits
• Maintain oversight of general ledger activity and reconciliations
• Review waterfall calculations and debt servicing models
• Partner with investment team on performance tracking and valuation support
• Prepare quarterly and annual investor reporting packages
• Support regulatory and compliance reporting requirements
• Coordinate tax deliverables including K-1s and partnership allocations
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting for management company and funds
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis for senior leadership
• Support fundraising initiatives with financial data and track record materials

• 6–10+ years of experience in private equity, private credit, asset management, or public accounting
• Direct experience with private credit funds
• Strong knowledge of partnership accounting and investment fund structures
• Familiarity with GAAP and private fund reporting standards
• Experience working with third-party fund administrators
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with fund accounting systems preferred
