Mission-driven, private equity backed start-up company is searching for an influential, top-performing, Controller to oversee accounting & FP&A responsibilities.

The Controller will work with the CFO & CEO on strategic projects, will lead process improvements throughout the accounting & finance division and should be an entrepreneurial-minded individual who is excited by a highly diverse, impactful role.

This organization has completed a Series A funding round, has begun fundraising for Series B, and continues to grow organically and through acquisition.

The Controller will oversee 3‑4 people to start and will be pivotal in identifying and mentoring current and future talent. The ideal candidate is an extremely motivated, technically strong CPA, with prior experience in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment. Controller candidates should have 10‑20 years of experience in startup, technology, PE‑backed, high‑growth environments, and experience taking an accounting/finance function from basic to top‑tier.

Qualifications:

• CPA or advanced degree preferred
• 10-20 years related experience
• experience in high-growth, private-equity backed organizations
• strong FP&A experience, experience with M&A
• systems & process-minded individual; strong process improvement skills
