Job DescriptionThe Opportunity
We, at Flywire, are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented SOX Analyst to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing Flywire’s SOX compliance program. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, Internal Audit, and IT, to ensure the design and execution of effective internal controls. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses a strong understanding of SOX and external audit requirements, and is passionate about fostering a culture of compliance and accountability.
The role offers a unique chance to acquire in-depth knowledge of global business practices, collaborate closely with a team of accomplished financial professionals, and contribute directly to the financial integrity and operational efficiency of a leading entertainment company.
- Coordinate and manage the company’s SOX compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements
- Work with the Internal Audit team to maintain and update documentation related to internal controls, including process narratives, risk control matrices, and flowcharts
- Serve as a liaison between external auditors, internal auditors, and internal teams to coordinate annual walkthroughs and project manage controls documentation requests
- Perform quality assurance over controls documentation to ensure SOX compliance
- Track control deficiencies, work with control owners to execute remediation plans, and support remediation progress
- Partner with process owners to ensure controls are appropriately integrated into business processes, identify risks, and implement mitigating controls if required
- Assist in designing and implementing internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) for new systems
- Provide training and guidance to employees on SOX requirements and best practices
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of controls
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, information systems, or related field.
- Backed by 2+ years of experience in SOX compliance, internal audit, or public accounting (Big 4 experience is a plus), working with a public company with technology
- Experience with Netsuite, Auditboard, SaaS Industry, a plus
- Demonstrate a foundational understanding of US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, COSO framework, and leading business practices.
- Exhibit strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task and prioritize various work streams simultaneously.
- Display advanced proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and Microsoft Office applications including Excel.
