Overview
Senior Fund Accountant or Fund Accounting Manager – Boston (Hybrid). Compensation: $110-135K + Bonus (depending on title and experience).
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Analysis- Prepare quarterly and annual fund-level financial statements, supporting schedules, and work papers.
- Ensure timely preparation of GAAP-compliant financial reports, including consolidation entries, eliminations, and footnotes.
- Review property-level financial statements and ensure accuracy in consolidation.
- Prepare or review quarterly cash flow statements and performance metrics.
- Perform variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
- Prepare capital calls, distributions, and partner allocations.
- Prepare investor reporting deliverables: quarterly reports, capital account statements, and fee calculations.
- Ensure compliance with partnership agreements, waterfalls, and investor requirements.
- Serve as a contact for interim and year-end audits.
- Prepare audit support and respond to auditor inquiries.
- Prepare year-end property and fund level tax packages.
- Maintain internal controls and adherence to accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and mentor fund accounting staff.
- Oversee monthly and quarterly close processes.
- Collaborate with Treasury on cash management and funding.
- Identify opportunities for automation and workflow improvements.
- Interpret partnership agreements, loan documents, and transaction files.
- Support acquisition, disposition, financing, and restructuring activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred.
- 5–8 years of experience in real estate fund accounting, private equity, or public accounting.
