Job Description & How to Apply Below
The firm takes a long-term, partnership-oriented approach, working closely with founders and management teams to support succession planning, growth initiatives, distribution expansion, and operational improvement. This is an opportunity to join a lean, execution-focused team with meaningful responsibility and direct exposure to senior investors.
The Opportunity
The Associate will play a hands‑on role across the full investment lifecycle, from evaluating new opportunities to supporting portfolio companies post‑investment. Working closely with senior team members, the Associate will gain exposure to both transaction execution and long‑term value creation, with an emphasis on fundamentals, alignment with management, and strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Support investment origination through opportunity screening, market research, and sector analysis
• Build and maintain financial models and valuation analyses, including operating models and scenario analysis
• Assist in transaction execution, diligence coordination, and preparation of investment committee materials
• Analyze business models, revenue drivers, economics, and competitive positioning
• Coordinate with third‑party advisors (legal, financial, tax, and commercial) during live transactions
• Support portfolio companies on strategic initiatives such as succession planning, distribution strategy, operational improvement, and growth initiatives
• Prepare clear, concise investment memos, presentations, and internal materials
• Track relevant market developments, comparable transactions, and industry trends
Candidate Profile
We are seeking candidates with 2–4 years of experience, typically from:
• Investment banking (M&A, leveraged finance, or relevant industry coverage), or
• Private equity at the Analyst or Associate level
• Top‑tier consulting (e.g., MBB) with strong analytical, strategic, and financial skillsets
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
• Strong technical foundation in financial modeling, valuation, and accounting
• Ability to independently own work streams in a fast‑paced, high‑expectation environment
• Strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, and communication skills
• Intellectual curiosity and genuine interest in long‑term private equity investing
• Comfort working with founder‑led and management‑owned businesses
• Team‑oriented mindset with high professional standards
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or CFA is a plus but not required
Why Join
• Join a growing Boston‑based private equity platform with a long‑term investment philosophy
• Hands‑on exposure across sourcing, execution, and portfolio support
• Direct access to senior decision‑makers in a lean team structure
• Opportunity to work closely with founders and management teams
• Competitive compensation with performance‑based upside
Clear path for professional development within the investment team
