WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The Investment Services Group (ISG) is an internal investment office serving Bain’s eligible Partners and Managers. The mission of ISG is to provide attractive investment opportunities and easily accessible information concerning those investments. ISG manages the operations of the funds governed by the Investment Committee, and reports through Bain’s Global CFO. Currently ISG manages 200 deals within 50 investment entities and the related reporting to 2,500 investors.

WHERE

YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM

The ISG Senior Specialist is primarily responsible for collaborating with various teams to facilitate the Investor Relations, Investment Transaction and Treasury functions and reports to the group’s senior management. The Senior Specialist works with ISG’s Investor Relations function to support and facilitate tasks impacting fund investors. The Senior Specialist works with ISG’s Fund Accounting team to facilitate investment transactions, investment reporting, and its treasury and custody functions.

WHAT

YOU’LL DO Investor Relations & Fund Admin (50%)
  • Oversee annual investor eligibility projects, maintaining compliant records for individuals and various investment vehicles per geographic securities regulations.
  • Independently manage all investor relations communications and activities concerning investor transfers, ad-hoc investor matters, and fund administrative compliance.
  • Administer confidential investor data, including bank account updates, adhering to our strict data privacy policies.
  • Handle the opening and closure of bank and brokerage accounts with minimal supervision.
  • Track, summarize, and facilitate the reimbursement of fund-level expenses to the general partner/corporate parent.
  • Ensure all fund governance documentation is compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Draft investment offering documents (subscription agreements) in collaboration with Bain’s legal group, displaying a high level of autonomy and legal understanding.
  • Conduct additional tasks and projects as required, proactively identifying areas of responsibility.
Investment Transactions Specialist (40%)
  • Prepare and oversee investment transaction documentation for execution by management, ensuring adherence to pertinent legislation.
  • Independently resolve complex inquiries and issues raised by external legal counsel regarding investment transaction documentation.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of each investment, demonstrating high levels of organization and attention to detail.
  • Develop a hypothesis to handle new challenges, researching answers and proposing solutions for validation by the functional leader.
Treasury, Custody & Internal Controls Services (10%)
  • Efficiently process check deposits.
  • Prepare check payments for tax and corporate expenses, independently managing the tracking of all transactions.
  • Maintain electronic checkbook registers, implementing robust systems for record-keeping.
  • Provide custody services to safeguard financial materials such as checks and stock certificates.
  • Support other administrative and analytical tasks as required, taking initiative in problem-solving and developing new processes or solutions for review with the team leader.
