Job Description – Treasury 2026 Summer Finance Fellowship | Massachusetts School Building Authority (260000EU).
Job SummaryThe Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) is seeking a Finance Fellow to support its finance department. The Fellow will report directly to the Director of Budget and Finance Administration and will gain real‑world experience in accounting, finance, and state‑run operations.
Primary Responsibilities- Support finance staff by following up on documentation and ensuring deliverables are received.
- Attend informational meetings to gain a comprehensive understanding of MSBA.
- finance and auditing teams with financial reporting, ensuring accuracy of all MSBA financing data.
- Maintain consistent filing procedures and organize the electronic filing system.
- Implement and streamline workflow for more automated and efficient analytics.
- Create ad‑hoc reporting for internal finance purposes and external/client requests.
Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
Knowledge and Skills- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi‑task.
- Proficient with numbers and strong analytical/research skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Fellows will receive an hourly wage and are required to commit to 37.5 hours per week.
CompensationUndergraduate interns: $22/hour
Graduate interns: $24/hour
Ability to lift up to 10 lbs
Ability to sit for extended periods of time
