We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our client's finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of GAAP and a proven ability to support quarterly and annual financial reporting. Experience in financial services or insurance is preferred but not required. This role plays a key part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and analyze quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

  • Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

  • Perform general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.

  • Support external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.

  • Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and applicable regulations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data, resolve discrepancies, and provide insights.

  • Assist with the preparation of management reports, regulatory filings, and other financial disclosures as needed.

  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

  • CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.

  • 3–5+ years of relevant accounting experience.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

  • Experience in financial services or insurance industries is a plus but not required.

  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and familiarity with financial systems/ERP platforms.

  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
