OverviewThe Senior Branch Advisor is a trusted financial partner for Empower customers, delivering personal, thoughtful, and goal-based financial guidance. Based in our Boston Investor Center, this advisor meets with clients in person to provide holistic financial planning, investment advice, and guidance across all stages of life.
Responsibilities- Meet with Empower clients, participants and prospects in person to understand their goals and provide personalized financial advice
- Offer solutions for a wide range of needs: retirement income planning, education savings, investing, risk management, and more
- Help clients make confident decisions about consolidating outside assets (typically over $100K) into Empower-managed accounts
- Use Empower’s planning tools and digital experience to create clear, actionable financial plans
- Provide workplace participants—particularly those approaching retirement or facing complex financial questions—with tailored guidance beyond their plan benefits
- Be an expert on the full suite of wealth capabilities, products, and services
- Collaborate with plan sponsors, internal advisors, and Relationship Management to identify participants who may benefit from working with a Senior Advisor
- Partner with the Branch Director to drive the branch’s success and provide leadership support
- Collaborate with Empower’s Relationship Management and operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and excellent client service
- Track client progress and maintain accurate records using Salesforce CRM
- Participate in local community outreach and educational events to promote Empower’s mission
- Support junior advisors through informal coaching or mentorship
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional work experience
- 5+ years of experience in financial planning, investment advising, or wealth management
- FINRA Series 7, 63, 65 (or 66) registrations within established timelines
- Confidence in working with high-net-worth individuals and complex financial situations
- Clear, engaging communication and listening skills
- Strong knowledge of investments, retirement plans, and financial planning principles
- FINRA fingerprinting required upon hire
- MBA preferred
- CRPC or CFP preferred
- Track record of strong performance to KPIs in prior licensed Advisory positions
